We aren’t going to get political. We know our country is divided on a number of issues, and we aren’t going to try to solve those problems in our dental blog.
But the 4th of July is coming up. It’s the celebration of the birth of our country. Many communities across the country mark this occasion with fireworks displays and more.
Just like fireworks can light up the night, your smile could light up a room or bring some brightness to someone else’s day. That is true as long as you are willing to share your smile.
Dr. Hugh B. Rosenblatt has been helping patients in and around our community with cosmetic and restorative dentistry for decades. We’d be happy to help you, too.
That’s something else we can celebrate together!
When you meet someone new, do you greet them with a big smile and a handshake? Or do you feel compelled to hide your teeth?
If you don’t share your smile because you don’t like something about your teeth, you may be making the wrong impression. Surveys have shown that people are considered less friendly, less competent, and less trustworthy when they have bad smiles.
In some cases, this is because unfortunately people can be overly judgmental at times. In other cases, it’s simply because people go out of their way to hide their smiles, which can make other people uncomfortable.
On the flip side, those surveys also suggest that people with nice smiles appear more confident, more intelligent, and kinder.
How you feel about your smile could open a door or become an obstacle whether you are interested in a job, a date, or a friendship.
Wanting to change your smile is one thing. Finding the right dentist to help you make those changes is something else.
