Frequently Asked Questions

It is natural to have questions for your new dentist. Check out some of the questions that we hear often, and see if your answer is here on this page. You can contact us with any questions that aren’t answered here.

Q: Am I able to get dental implants?

There are several questions that need to be answered before Dr. Rosenblatt can determine if you are a dental implant candidate. The first is whether you are currently missing teeth or simply have damaged teeth that need to be extracted. The next question is whether you have the bone structure to support dental implants. If you have insufficient bone structure, you may benefit from a sinus lift or bone graft to promote new bone growth in your mouth and get you to the level of bone that you need to support your implants.

Q: What do veneers do to improve my appearance?

Veneers are an effective treatment for many cosmetic flaws that may be stealing the light from your smile. They are able to cover stubborn dental staining, such as stains from medications. This type of deep staining is hard to treat with regular teeth whitening. Chips and cracks can also steal the look of your smile. Veneers are able to cover those problems, too, and even provide support to keep the tooth from further damage.

Q: How do I beat dental anxiety?

The first step is to identify what caused your dental fear in the first place. You have to figure out what you’re fighting. Once you have identified the source of your fear, then you need to sit down and talk to Dr. Rosenblatt about it. He can help identify what was going on when your dental fear began. The procedure may have been done incorrectly or has since changed to lessen or eliminate the pain. In some cases, the procedure that contributed to your dental fear is not even in use anymore due to the pain that it caused. Talk to Dr. Rosenblatt and find out how we can help you manage your fears with things such as dental sedation and creature comforts. We provide every patient with gentle dentistry in a friendly environment, and our goal is always to make your experience relaxed and comfortable.

Q: Do You See Children And Teens At Your Office?

At Hugh B. Rosenblatt Family Dentistry, we see children ages 10 and up. Dr. Rosenblatt isn’t a pediatric dentist, so he doesn’t see children younger than age 10. However, our office is a great option for families with children who are ready to move on from their pediatric dentist, to seek more adult-level care.

We would be thrilled to see anyone age 10 and up so that we can encourage good dental health from now through adulthood. We also want to catch any potential alignment problems as early as possible, so we can try to save you money on braces down the road. For any additional questions, call us at (561) 877-3802.
